Our Hunting Area
Area BMA 49: The area that is hunted is
approximately 400 sq. km in size. There is very little
hunting pressure locally. The terrain is slightly rolling,
covered in mixed forests, and dotted with numerous
lakes and swamps. Numerous wild game inhabit this
area including deer, bear, moose, wolf, and small
game. This area is heavily populated by quality black
bears. Access to the hunting area is by 4 wheel drive
trucks and ATV’s. Most of the area has been gated off
to the general public for many years allowing the bear
population to grow. Bears in this area are routinely
spotted weighing over 300 lbs. Local bears have been
taken over 500 lbs. by us.
